Worlds Apart Support Providers (WASPs) welcomes people from all walks of life. Embedded in our ethos is the drive to make a positive difference to each individual that comes under our wings, while respecting their innate uniqueness. With a combined health care experience in clinical, mental, aged-care, research and academic nursing spanning over 27 years, the providers of WASPs are well-equipped to cater for the nursing and support care needs of all its participants in Australia.

With the background and affiliation of African and European heritage, WASPs are familiar with the needs and challenges faced by minority groups as they navigate through new and different systems. WASPs possess the lived experience of the developed and the developing worlds, which are often ‘worlds apart’. Therefore, to benchmark and bridge the two worlds, we implement services that are culturally-sensitive, while intrinsically empathising and reflecting the lived experience of the providers.Ultimately, the goal of our operations at WASPs is the need to create a sense of belonging and community for our participants, consequently making a positive difference for one, and for all.

He never rushes or pushes - instead he treats our loved one with genuine respect and kindness, which means so much. What we’ve really noticed is Vincent’s strong awareness of anxiety and the gentle way he supports someone who may be struggling. He seems to know exactly how to approach difficult moments, always creating a sense of safety and calm. That kind of understanding is rare, and it has made a huge difference for us.Vincent’s professionalism, kindness and gentle presence make him an exceptional support worker, and we truly appreciate the positive impact he has on our loved one’s life."
